Every studio has a first project, and for TapGames it was Coin Pusher Gold — the game that started it all. Inspired by the coin-pusher machines you'd find at a carnival, fairground, or seaside arcade, it brought that simple, irresistible thrill to iPhone and iPad: drop a coin, watch it tumble onto the heap, and feel the anticipation as the platform pushes everything toward the edge.
What set it apart was the attention under the hood. Rather than faking the outcome, Coin Pusher Gold runs on a real physics engine — every coin falls, slides, and collides the way it would on an actual machine. That authenticity, paired with 3D graphics and satisfying arcade sounds, made it feel less like a mobile game and more like having the carnival in your pocket.
It grew from there: poker chips, mini-games, achievements and leaderboards to chase, and a "Super Pusher" mode for players who wanted to raise the stakes. Free to play, easy to pick up, and endlessly moreish — it captured exactly the kind of playful, crafted experience the studio set out to make.
Looking back, Coin Pusher Gold is more than a nostalgic first release. It's the foundation everything else was built on — the project where TapGames learned to blend solid engineering with genuine fun. The same instinct that shaped a coin-pusher game now drives everything the studio builds, from games to software.
